Burgess Davis, Miller, Mo., a former resident of Emporia and a taxi driver here for several years, died Saturday in Springfield, Mo.
Funeral services will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday in Miller, Mo. And graveside services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Maplewood Cemetery in Emporia.
Mr. Davis, who was born March 30th, 1895, in Emporia, had lived in Missouri for the past 20 years. He was preceded in death by his wife and one son, who was killed in action during World War II. He is survived by one son, Homer, of Mount Vernon, Mo.; two daughters, Marjorie Kirsch, Kanas City, Mo., and Mrs. Vernon Kelly, 418 South Commercial St.; one brother, Fred Davis, of East Logan Avenue, and four grandchildren.
