JOSEPH C. AGUIAR, 75, of Black Plain Road, a retired employee at J.F. White Construction Co., Boston, died Monday at Landmark Medical Center.

He was the husband of the late Florence E. (Ferrier) Aguiar. A lifelong resident of Slatersville, he was a son of the late Joseph C. and Encarnacao (Duarte) Aguiar.

Mr. Aguiar was employed at J.F. White Construction for 30 years before he retired when he was 50 because of a disability. He was a Navy veteran of World War II.

He was a communicant of St. John the Evangelist Church. He was a member of LeClair-Kozlik-Logan-Bassett VFW Post 6342, Fairmount Post 85, American Legion, and the Laborers Union. As a youth, he played for the Slatersville Red Raiders.

He leaves two sons, Joseph Aguiar of West Warwick and Donald Aguiar of Woonsocket; a brother, Manuel A. Aguiar of Millville, Mass.; a sister, Mary Guertin of Lincoln; and two grandchildren and a great-grandchild.

The funeral will be held tomorrow at 10 a.m. from Egidio DiPardo & Sons Funeral Home, 75 Harris Ave., Woonsocket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 in St. John the Evangelist Church, Church Street, Slatersville. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.
