Nell G. Lowry, 90, formerly of 219 N. Marion, died at 5:15 p.m. June 7, 1985, at the Good Samaritan Center.
She was born Nov. 12, 1894, in Youngstown, Ohio, to Thomas and Agnes Young Jeffreys. A resident of Ottumwa most of her life, she retired from Younkers Department Store in 1961. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, Womens Club, Kings Daughters, and was active in giving programs in Ottumwa for many years. She married William "Will" B. Lowry in 1918 in Ottumwa. He died March 9, 1975.
She is survived by four nieces, Agnes Ferguson of Ottumwa, Florence Paul of Osceola, Nell Salmon of Fort Dodge and Connie Moore of Alameda, Calif; and two nephews, Donald Norberg of Washington, D.C., and Frederick Norberg of San Diego, Calif.
Graveside services and burial will be at 3 p.m. today at the Ottumwa Cemetery. Visitation is after 1 p.m. today at the Reece Funeral Home.
