Nellie M. Gilpin, 83, 701 W. Jackson, died Thursday in Ball Hospital following an extended illness.
A native of Connellsville, Pa., she moved to Dunkirk in 1941 with her husband, Paul E. Gilpin, Sr., who preceded her in death in 1945. She came to Muncie in 1971, and attended Fountain Square United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two sons, Donald Gilpin, Muncie, and Paul E. Gilpin, Jr., Lancaster, Ohio; a daughter, Evelyn Bergdoll, Dunkirk; 18 grandchildren, and several great- and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Gilpin was also preceded in death by two daughters, Mildred McMillian and Grace Maxwell.
Services will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday in Parson Mortuary-Adams Chapel with burial to follow in IOOF Cemetery, Dunkirk. Friends may call at the mortuary from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Sunday.
