Mrs Mahala Wooldridge died at Sonora on Tuesday at the age of 79 years. Member of Methodist Church. Survived by 5 children: Mrs Alice Wise; Mr Rowena Hertige; Mrs Wede Goldsmith; J A Wooldridge; R. W. Wooldridge. Burial at Wooldridge Cemetery near Pitts Point yesterday. Published July 26, 1907.

Mrs Mahala Wooldridge was born Oct 22, 1827 in Hardin Co where she spent her entire life. For the past 18 years, made her home with her son, R W Wooldridge of Sonora. Member of M.E.Church. Died July 23, 1907. Married John D Wooldridge on Oct 20, 1847. Was crippled and unable to walk the past 18 years. Mother of 8 children and also raised an adopted child. 5 children survive: Mrs Alice Wise of Pitts Point; Mrs John W. Fertig of Louisville; Mrs T.T. Goldsmith of Stithton; J A Wooldridge of Vine Grove; R W Wooldridge of Sonora; and the late adopted child Mrs S L Turner of near Sonora. Burial in Wooldridge Cemetery near Pitts Point.

Mrs Mahala Wooldridge celebrated her 79th birthday at the home of her son, Rufus Wooldridge, near Sonora one day last week. She still smokes a clay pipe.

Mrs Mahala Wooldridge celebrated her 78th birthday on Oct 22 at the home of her daughter, Mrs T. T. Goldsmith of near Stithton. All families were represented. One sister, 3 daughters, 31 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 51 being present: Mr & Mrs John Tertig and family of Louisville, Mrs Alice Wise and son of Pitts Point; Rufus Wooldridge and family of Sonora; John A Wooldridge and son of Vine Grove; a sister Mrs Zurayda Ward of Louisville. The grandchildren were: John Wise and wife of Louisville; Comie Wise of Highland Park; Miss Lillie Wise of Lakeland; Mr & Mrs Leonard Daugherty and family; Mr & Mrs M. C. Shively of Crisp, Bullitt Co; Charley Meyers of Buffalo, N. Y.; Crit, Lonnie, and Rufus Meyers of Louisville and Willie Meyers of Dorretts Run.
