Geraldine Lamm Pate, 88, of Jesup and Savannah, died Friday, December 16, 2016, after an extended illness. The North Carolina native spent most of her adult life in Wayne County, was a member of Jesup First Baptist Church, and a homemaker. She enjoyed being a Grandmother so much, loved nature, and watching her cats and birds. She was the widow of Robert Lee Pate.
Survivors are her daughter and son-in-law, Linda P. (Bob) Majors of Savannah; son and daughter-in-law, James R. “Jimmy” (Tina) Pate of Jesup; brothers, J. E. Lamm and Wayne Lamm of Angier, North Carolina; sisters, Betty Gray Broughton of Kenly, North Carolina, Wyona Stephens of Atlanta, Sybil “Ben” Lamm of Middleton, Pennsylvania, Vira Lee Burnett of Durham, North Carolina; grandchildren, Kelly Pate (Steven) Griffis, Michael (Ashley) Pate, Leigh (Joseph) Rogers, Stephanie Majors; 7 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Sunday, December 18, 2016, at Rinehart and Sons Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mickey Tomberlin and Wayne Lamm officiating. Interment will be in Pinecrest Memorial Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Michael Pate, Steven Griffis, Brandon Majors, Joshua Rogers, Joseph Rogers, and Joseph Ryan Rogers.
Visitation will be held from 12:00 to 1:00 prior to service at the funeral home.
