He was a member/officer in several clubs which were involved with agriculture. He was plant manager for Stokley Van Camp for several years. His last business project was owning the Blue Boy Motel in Bedford, Indiana. Mount was a member of Masonic Lodge #681, Anderson, Indiana.
He was the son of Joseph A. Lilly and Nancy Celestine (Porter) Lilly and married Jo Nell Dunn on April 13, 1930. She died in 1967. There were no immediate survivors.
