Mrs. Henry Kroon, 94, of Sioux Center, died Wednesday, Sept. 26, at the Sioux Center Comm. Hospital.

Services were at 10:30 a.m. Friday in the First Reformed Church at Sioux Center. Dr. Thurman Rynbrandt and the Rev. Gerrit Rezelman officiated. Burial was in Memory Gardens Cemetery under the direction of the Memorial Funeral Home.

Mrs. Kroon, the former Hattie Van Roekel, was born July 21, 1885, in The Netherlands. She came to the United States at the age of 7 and attended school at Sioux Center.

She was married July 18, 1903, at Sioux Center. The couple lived on farms near Hull and Sioux Center. They moved into town in 1940. Mr. Kroon died in 1942.

Survivors include four sons, Neal of Rock Rapids, Gerrit of Boyden, Richard of Sioux Center and the Rev. William of Belmond; seven daughters, Mrs. Peter A. Punt of Stickney, S.D., mrs. Henry R. Vande Berg, Miss Cornelia, Mrs. Henry Baker, Mrs. Wilbur Vos and Miss Clarene, all of Sioux Center and Mrs. Merenus Voortman of Norco, Calif.; 36 grandchildren; 82 greatgrandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
