Mrs. Maude E. Chubb, age 52 years, wife of Gurney Chubb, died at her home in Lenkerville Tuesday afternoon.
She was a daughter of James and [the late] Mary (Thomas) Hoke and was a native of Red Cross, Northumberland County.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Millersburg.
Survivors are her husband, two daughters, [Golda] Mrs. Clinton Swinehart, Baltimore, Maryland; and Miss Betty Chubb, at home; three sons, Marlin of Paxton; Elwood [Gurney Elwood] and Roy, at home.
Other survivors are her father and stepmother [Rosa], of Millersburg; one sister, Mrs. Perley Peck, of Lookout California; two half-sisters, [Margaret] Mrs. Isaac Hoffman, Millersburg and [Helen] Mrs. Percival Billman of Williamstown; three [half-]brothers, Oscar, Herbert, and Charles Hoke, Jr., of Millersburg, and five grandchildren.
Services will be held from the residence at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon. Rev. James W. Emerick, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church will officiate and interment will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Millersburg.
