Jane Slaughter is the daughter of Joel T. Slaughter of SC or NC & Jane Monroe Slaughter of SC or NC. Jane was born in Alabama in 1845. She married (1) Wayman Fredrick Pierson, #28052630 in Lampasas County, TX in 1880. They were blessed with one child; Emma Clemenza Pierson #54742283. Jane married (2) J.S. Dobbs in 1885 in Callahan County, TX. Jane passed away in Arkansas and is buried in an unknown location at this time. Her daughter, Emma or "Emmer" was a young child at the time of her mom's death. George & Mary Slaughter (brother & sister of Jane) went by covered wagon from Callahan County, TX to Saline County, AR to bring the child back to Texas. Emmer was raised in the home of her granddmother Jane Monroe Slaughter by her Uncle George and Aunt Mary Slaughter.
