Born in Osceola Mills, Pa. he lived in the Kenvil section of Roxbury in Morris County, New Jersey for the last 53 years. Prior to World War II, he served in the civilian Conservation Corps. for 18 months in Adamanda, Arizona. During Worls War II he served in the United States Army Company A, 327th Medical Battalion and received a Bronze Star. He was a life member of Veterans of Foreign Wars post 2833 Kenvil, New Jersey where he was past commander. He was a life member of the 102nd Infantry Division Association. Mr. Tuorinsky was a machine operator at Hercules Powder Company in Kenvil for thirty seven years.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Begraft; two sons, John Charles and Alan and his wife Linda, all of Mt. Arlington, New Jersey, a daughter Joanne Watts and her husband Richard, of Northhampton, Pa., siblings Mary Glessner of Shippensburg, Pa. and Julia Conklin and Joseph Tuorinsky both of Osceola Mills, Pa.; grandchildren James, Gregory and Mark Watts, Alex and Elizabeth Tuorinsky and Many nieces and nephews. Services were held at Goble Funeral Home, Sparta, New Jersey. Interment at Sparta Cemetery.
