Alton Lester Hice was the son of Claude Hice and Corra Lee O'Neal Cloud. He married Omilee Rogers on September 16, 1941 in Phenix City, Alabama. They had five children: Emily Allene Hice; Alton Lester Hice, Jr.; William Raymond Hice; Rufus Gordon Hice; and John Douglas Hice. Alton Lester Hice was a career non-commmissioned officer in the United States Army. He was in World War II and served in Korea during the Korean War. He had peacetime assighments in Germany and at numerous stateside installations to include Fort Benning, Georgia where he died.
