When Shirley was 16 years old the Evans family moved to Huntsville, AR and in 1957 she graduated from Huntsville High School. On March 13, 1958 she was united in marriage to Bob Seitz and to this union two sons were born.
Shirley attended both the Osage Baptist Church and the Dryfork Methodist Church. She had been employed in Berryville at Glick, MFA Co-Op and Carrs Drygood store. She always loved visiting with people and helping wherever she was needed. She enjoyed cooking, yard work and supporting her grandchildren in all of their activities.
She is survived by her sons, Dale Seitz and wife Christi, of Grandview, David Seitz of Dryfork; sisters, Dorothy Samples and husband Tom, of Midlothian, TX, Sue Evans of Berryville and Alphon Samples of Maypearl, TX; brothers, Ronnie Evans and Adrian Evans, both of Fayetteville; and grandchildren, Dustin Fortner, Hunter Seitz and Chaney Seitz.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband and six brothers and sisters.
Celebration of Life services will be 10 a.m., Tuesday, March 23 at Smith Family Funeral Home in Green Forest, AR. Pastor Bill Anderson will officiate and interment will follow at Berryville Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday, March 22, 2010 at the funeral home.
