TEMPLE — Services for David Wesley Evans Jr., 69, of Kerrville, who died Sunday in a Temple hospital, will be Wednesday at 3 p.m. at Trinity Baptist Church with the Rev. Wes Weston and Dr. Bill Blackburn officiating. Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery. Born Jan. 27,1926 in Mason County, Mr Evans had been a resident of Kerrville for 22 years, formerly residing in San Antonio. He was owner and operator of a pest control and tree service He was a member of the Country Community Church, Kerrville Golf Association and Heart of the Hills Pest Control Association, where he had served as president. He served in the U.S. Army in World War II and Korea. He married Virginia Durst on March 16, 1947 in Mason. She survives. Other survivors include a daughter, Sandi Grudzinski of Kerrville; three sons and daughters-in-law, Steve and Mary Evans of Fredericksburg, Wes and Paula Evans of Boerne, and Doug and Karen Evans of Kerrville; seven sisters, Dorothy Samples of Fort Worth, Polly Graham, Alphon Samples and Sue Evans, all of Dallas, Helen Robinson of Eden, Lenora Anderson of Eureka Springs, Ark., and Shirley Seitz of Berryville, Ark.; three brothers, Donald Evans of Kerrville, Adrian Evans of Dallas, and Ronnie Evans of Corpus Christi; nine grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Grimes Funeral Chapel in Kerrville is in charge of arrangements.
