Susan Rebecca was born in Lancaster Dist, SC daughter of Nathaniel Bowers and Nancy Bailey Bowers. She moved, with her parents, to Hart Co, Georgia ca 1857 where she married on 11 Oct 1864 in Hart Co, GA to Daniel Bailey Fleming. They moved from GA to Blount Co, Al in 1889. They were the parents of eight children. Susan died from tuberculoses at 9:00 pm on 28 Aug 1916 while living at her dau Rosie Holmes in Snead, Alabama. Daniel died 14 Jul 1922 in Loretto, Lawrence Co, TN and buried there at Bishop Chapel Cemetery.
