No record has been found to date for the marriage of Cornelius to his wife Margrietje Vanderburgh. She was the daughter of Lucas Dirckszen Vanderburgh and Annatje Cornelis.
From TAG V43 Page 198: C.S. Williams said that Van horn was the Cornelius Christiaenszen who married Anna Wessels 19 Feb 1689 in New York City. This is most unlikely for three reasons:
1. Cornelius Christiaensen Van Horn did not live in New York City (the church record said both the bride and groom lived there)
2. The marriage came much too late for the first four Van Horn children (they were married 1705-1711)
3. The numerous granddaughters named Margrietje support the conclusion that Margrietje, not Anna, was the mother of Cornelius' children.
