John W. Hoenshell, 86, Harrisonville, died Aug. 27, 1994, at a hospital in Nevada, Mo.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, south of Harrisonville; burial in Wills Cemetery, Peculiar in Cass County. Friends may call from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today at the Atkinson Chapel, Harrisonville.

The family suggests contributions to Missouri Baptist Childrens Home, Peculiar.

Mr. Hoenshell was born in Soldier, Kan., and lived in this area most of her life. He was a farmer, retiring in 1973. He was a deacon at the church. He was a member of the Cass County Council on Aging.

Survivors include his wife, Elberta Hoenshell of the home; two sons, Roger Dean Hoenshell, Harrisonville, and Kenneth Dale Hoenshell, Horton, Mo.; three sisters, Rose Mullen, Prairie Village, Hazel Arnold, Hays, Kan., and Gladys Glenn, Harrisonville; five grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandsons.
