Lydia Elinor Roberts, 96, former resident of Delaware, Oklahoma died at 6:00 AM on Saturday, January 7, 2012, in Tulsa.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday January 12, 2012, in the Nowata Memorial Park Cemetery with Mr. Ben Killion of First Christian Church of Owasso, officiating. Graveside services and interment will be directed by the Stumpff-Nowata Funeral Home at Nowata, Oklahoma.
Lydia Elinor Roberts was born December 23, 1915 at Jordan, Indiana, to Robert and Margaret (Grimm) Lucas.
She was raised and received her early education in Jordan, Indiana area. Moving to Nowata area in 1947 and to Delaware, Oklahoma in 1962.
Mrs. Roberts was a devoted mother and homemaker. She moved to Claremore with her daughter in 2007. Mrs. Roberts attended the Hillside Christian Church for several years.
Survivors include; two daughters Frances Dennis of Claremore and Betty Bateman of Garber, Oklahoma; three sons, Elmer Roberts of Claremore, George Roberts and Thomas Roberts of Nowata; eleven grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. Mrs.
Roberts was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Raleigh Roberts in 1976 and three sons Chester Roberts, Bill Roberts and Raleigh "Chuck" Roberts.
