Elmer Dale Roberts Sr. passed away on March 31, 2023 he was 86 years old. Elmer was born to Floyd R. and Lydia E. Roberts in Warren County, Indiana.
Elmer grew up in the Chelsea, Ok area. He graduated from Chelsea High School in 1955. During his high school years, he worked for the Boyd's Dairy Farm milking cows twice a day and going to school. After high school he felt the call to service and enlisted in the Navy. After his time in the service, Elmer joined the Pipefitters union and the Boilermaker's union. In these crafts, Elmer was a talented welder. He traveled the US working for many years up until his retirement.
Some of his hobbies he loved dearly was hunting, fishing and being outdoors. Elmer always enjoyed a good western movie and going out to eat with family on Saturday nights. He also was an avid pool shark and liked to play golf in his earlier years.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Floyd R., and Lydia Roberts; Brothers, Chester Roberts, Bill Roberts, and Chuck Roberts; Sister, Francis Dennis, stepdaughter Linda Wallace and daughter in law Deborah Roberts.
Elmer is survived by his son Elmer Roberts Jr., Brothers, George Roberts and Tom Roberts; Sister, Betty Bateman; Stepdaughter Vivian Benedict and husband Shelton, ex-wife Sonja K. Parker and grandchildren Austin Roberts and Dillon Roberts and one great grandchild Presley Rose Roberts and numerous nieces and nephews.
