Carrie E. (Cheesman) Brown, 64, of Canton, sister of Henry J. Cheesman and a former Princeville resident, passed away Sunday, August 19, 1940, in Bushnell, Illinois, following a stroke.
Before her marriage to Burtwell D. Brown she was Miss Carrie Cheesman. She was a graduate of Princeville high school. She was a member of Canton First Presbyterian Church.
Carrie had a host of friends, having formerly resided in Princeville and Dunlap.
Besides her husband, Carrie is survived by three children: Elmer B. of Chicago, Vera M. of Canton and Lois Bone of Peoria; two sisters, Mrs. Pinkey Pratt of Tuckahoe, NY, and Minnie Price of Malden, IL; a brother, Henry J. Cheesman, of Princeville and one grandchild.
