She was born Oct. 9, 1918, in Biwabik to Louis and Mary (Shuster) Delak. She was a homemaker and worked as a housekeeper at St. Johns Catholic Church in Biwabik. She was married to John Mohar.
Mayme was known for gardening and baking. She enjoyed baking with vanilla, apples and cinnamon. A lot of love was served at her dinner table and she never let you leave her home without taking something freshly baked with you. Her garden was her sanctuary and she enjoyed planting trees, vegetables and flowers.
She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Kenneth) Hicks; sons, James Mohar, and Gary Mohar; brothers, Robert Delak and Edward Delak; and seven grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, John; brother, Frank; sister, Dorothy Sherek; and a nephew, Richard.
Inurnment was in Lakeside Cemetery in Biwabik.
