ABSTRACT He died Sept. 28, 1906.
James Ewen, who has with his wife has been a resident of Long Beach for the past six months, died suddenly this morning of conjestion of the brain at the home of his son, Andrew J. Ewen of 621 Magnolia, manager of the Title Insurance and Trust company in Long Beach. Mr. Ewen was born in England in 1833, and came to America when 18 years of age. He lived in Derby, Connecticut, for a half century, where he was married to his now bereaved wife. He enlisted in Co. C., Connecticut Volunteer Infantry and served through the Civil War. He was 73."
