Lila Stegall, 89, of Wichita Falls, passed away Thursday, January 5, 2012.
The funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, January 7, 2012 in the chapel of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home with Pastor Stuart L. Wright, and Chaplain Harvey McMurry, officiating. Interment will follow at Dundee Cemetery, Dundee, Texas under the direction of Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
Lila was born on July 1, 1922 in Nacogdoches, Texas to the late Henry and Mattie May(Head) Sargent. She enjoyed fishing, sewing, playing dominos and bingo, working cross word puzzles, and singing. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Lee Roy Stegall; her son, Douglas Stegall; three sisters(Lela Lucille Sargent Atkinson,Lola Bee Sargent and Leona Sargent Dorman); and two brothers(Edward Erastus Sargent and Thomas Malcolm Arnold Sargent).
She is survived by her six children, Roy Stegall of Lufkin, Travis Stegall and wife Virginia of Keller, Henry Stegall and wife Molly of South Lake, Sandra Stiles and husband James of Wichita Falls, Rufus Stegall and wife Pam of Iowa Park, and William Stegall and wife Chris of Lakeside City; a brother, Ray Sargent and wife Bernice of Etoile; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, January 6, 2012 at Owens & Brumley Funeral Home of Wichita Falls.
