This appears to be a cenotaph erected by Philo Adams. There is a family recollection that she and her son William are buried in Huron Cemetery up the road, but no markers have been found there. On the other side of the stone is a memorial to Philo's brother, William, and Philo's infant daughter, Jennette.
Eleanor was married to Daniel Adams, the father of her children. He died around 1816 in Madison County, NY. He was a farmer and his grave has not been found.
