RETIRED MEDIC EXPIRES MONDAY - Dr. U. G. Lipes Dies in Lafayette
Dr. Ulysses Grant Lipes, 74, retired physician who had practiced medicine for 30 years in Indianapolis until hies retirement due to ill health two years ago, died at 4 o'clock Monday afternoon at Lafayette.

Born in Marion township, he attended the old Fort Wayne Medical college. He started his medical practice here, moving to Indianapolis 30 years ago. He was a member of the Indian Medical society, the Baptist church and Knights of Pythias lodge.

Survivors include the widow, Rose; two sons, Russell and Carl Lipes of Indianapolis; a sister, Mrs. P. J. Herring of this city, a brother-in-law, Dr. Morse Harrod of this city, and two grandchildren.

The body will arrive in Fort Wayne at 6 o'clock tonight and will be taken to Mungovan & Sons' mortuary where it may be viewed after 7 o'clock. Funeral services will be held Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock at Mungovan's mortuary, Rev. Linwood R. Berry officiating. Burial will be in Lindenwood cemetery.
