Edward Daniel Dinkelacker, Drums RD 1, was dead on arrival this morning at 6:25 o'clock at the Hazleton State General Hospital, where he had been taken by the Butler Township Community Ambulance.
Born in Drums, the deceased was the son of the late Jacob and Gussie (Fresdroff [sic]) Dinkelacker. He had resided in Drums most of his life and had been self-employed as a well-driller for many years.
He was of the Lutheran faith and a veteran of World War I, having served with the American Expeditionary Force in France as a wagoneer with Ambulance Co 76.
Surviving are his wife, the former Margaret Kenvin; three sons, Edward, Rainer, Ore; Gerald, Philadelphia; and Kenvin, Drums; and eight grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by several brothers and sisters.
The funeral will be held from the Burcin Home for Funerals Friday at a time to be announced. Interment will be in Conyngham Union Cemetery. Friends may call Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm
