James Andrew Lynn, 91, of 525 Rhode Island Avenue, Hagerstown, Maryland, died on Tuesday, January 3, 2012 at Fahrney-Keedy Memorial Home in Boonsboro, Maryland. Born March 1, 1920, in Washington County, Maryland, he was the son of the late Andrew Hugh and Ethel Marie Sprecher Lynn. He was a veteran of World War II, serving in the U. S. Army/Air Force in the Pacific Campaign. He attained the rank of Master Sergeant. He retired from Fairchild Aircraft, and Mack Truck. He was a life-member of the Western Maryland Sportsman's Club, and a member of the V.F.W. Post 1936.
He is survived by two daughters, Tessa Swope, and Diana Lynn, and fiancé, Tom Bauer; two sons, James A. Lynn Jr. and wife, Linda, and Ricky Lynn, and wife, Debbie; one sister, Miriam Payne; two brothers, Cecil Lynn, and Orville Lynn; five grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two sisters, Gloria Sloan, and Grace Lynn; and five brothers, Guy Lynn, Luther Lynn, Leroy Lynn, Ray Lynn, and Gerald Lynn.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 1:00 p. m. at the Minnich Funeral Home, 415 East Wilson Boulevard, Hagerstown. The Rev. Louis L. Emerick will officiate. Burial will be in Rocky Gap Veterans Cemetery in Flintstone, Maryland. Family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 p. m.
