OBITUARY
Mary Edith Moyer, daughter of Roland and Christina Sifer Bennett was born April 25, 1897 at Leon, IA. she died July 23, 1980 at Grape Community Hospital at the age of 83 years, 2 months and 28 days. She spent her early years in Leon and attended the Leon School.
On June 24th, 1914 she was united in marriage to James Ernest Moyer at Leon. To this union, eleven children were born.
They moved to Gretna, Nebraska and lived there until March of 1929 then moving to the Payne Community where they lived on the same farm for the past 51 years. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Phillip D. Moyer, one brother Orville Bennett and a sister Ellen DeMoulin.
Mrs. Moyer is survived by her husband, James, ten children, 28 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; 14 great great grandchildren two brothers, one sister, and other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held Saturday., July 26, at the Rash Funeral Home with Rev. Charles C. Kirtley officiating. Interment in the Hamburg Cemetery.
