"C.W. Bartley Is Buried Monday"
Campbell County Citizen Passes Away Saturday After Brief Illness
Charlie White Bartley, age 39, died Saturday, August 26 and funeral services were held at the home of his father, H.T. Bartley, in Jacksboro Monday afternoon at two o'clock. Burial was in Jacksboro Cemetery. Services were conducted by Rev. D. A. Spessard, assisted by Revs. Thomas and Ballard. Mr. Bartley was born Feb. 8, 1894. He married Miss Luda Dyke in 1917 and to this union four children, Marie, Jean, Kenneth and Glen were born. He is also survived by his widow and father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. H.T. Bartley of Jacksboro, and three brothers, Archie of Akron, Ohio, Roy of Jacksboro, Hobart of LaFollette; and four sisters, Mrs. Hodge Claiborne of Jacksboro, Mrs. Don Claiborne of LaFollette, Mrs. M. O. Wood and Mrs. W. D. Queener of Jacksboro. Pallbearers were Ed Claiborne, Albert Claiborne, Estel Claiborne, Frank Claiborne, Clyde Claiborne, and Everette Claiborne.
