The Weston Independent, Tues. 4 Dec 1900:
EDWARD MURRAY - PASSING OF A PIONEER: Died at his home on waters of Sand Fork, Thursday, Nov. 22. He was in his 83rd year, and more than forty years ago, together with a score or more of the natives of the Emerald Isle, settled in the Sand Fork section, then a vast wilderness. Funeral was Saturday, Nov. 24, at St. Bernards Catholic Church. Survived by three children, John, Peter and Mary Murray, all residing on the old homestead.
