On June 10, 1916 he was married to Lizzie Detweiler, who survived. Also surviving were 3 sons (Paul, Stanley, and Harold), 2 sisters (Mrs. Verda Moyer and Mrs. Howard Ruth), one brother (Alvin S.), one half sister (Mary Ellen Ruth), and one half brother (Clarence Alderfer), 3 stepbrothers (Tobias Delp, Irwin Gehman, and Ernest Gehman), 7 grandchildren.
He was a member of the Blooming Glen Church, where funeral services were held Dec. 12, 1967.
