Ms. Rometer Reeves, age 52, died at her residence in Clito Friday, January 21, 2005, after an extended illness. The Screven County native joined the Springhead United Methodist Church at an early age. She later attended the Mt. Olive Baptist Church of Clito and was a homemaker.
She leaves memories to be cherished by three daughters, Melissa Reeves, Jessica Sweat and Brittany Reeves, all of Statesboro; four sisters, Essie Knight, Boston, Mass., Betty Cosby and Gloria Parrish, both of Sylvania, and Patricia Reeves, Manhattan, N.Y.; two brothers, Herbert Reeves, Statesboro, and Aaron Reeves, Ft. Pierce, Fla; three grandchildren; one aunt, Martha Benton Zeigler, Sylvania; an uncle, Clarence Reeves, Jacksonville, Fla.; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral service for Ms. Rometer Reeves will be held noon on Saturday at the Hill's Mortuary Chapel with the Pastor John Mingle officiating. Burial will be in the Eastside Cemetery. Hill's Mortuary.
