Raby Longstreet Bowen was born in Beaufort County, NC in 1905. He was the identical twin of Ray Francis Bowen. His father named him "Longstreet" after the Confederate general. Later, Raby changed his name to "William Raby Bowen" and moved to Miami, FL where he was a licensed pharmacist. Raby died on Oct. 17, 1958. He is buried in the Sandy Grove Primitive Baptist Church cemetery, close to his mother and father.
