Mrs. Emma May Harvey, widow of Edward Harvey, former will know resident of the area north of Kewanee, died early Tuesday at the Henry County Convalescent home.
She was born in Annawan Twp., 9 Jun 1876, daughter of James Robert and Julia Ann Blinn Batten. She married Edward Harvey on 22 Sep 1896.
She is survived by two sons and one daughter, George of Neponset and Edward of Milwaukee, Mrs. W.L. Moore of Kewanee; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Royce, Kewanee; Mrs. Olin George, East Moline and Mrs. Nora Machesney, Annawan; two brothers. George W. Batten, Milwaukee, Wis, and Milo L. Batten, Silvis; ten grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.
Proceeding her in death were her parents, her husband, one son, and two sisters and three brothers.
Mrs. Harvey was a member of First Methodist Church of Kewanee and the Royal Neighbor's Lodge.
The funeral rites will be held on Thursday at Cavanagh and Schueneman Funeral Home. The Rev. Lloyd E. Davis, pastor of the Fairview Church will officiate. Burial will be in the Fairview Cemetery
