Edward W. Harvey, 82, well-known Kewanee Community resident and retired farmer, died early today at his home on Route 3 at the east edge of Kewanee.
Funeral services will be held at 3 pm on Monday at the Cavanagh and Schumann Funeral home where friends may call Sunday evening.
Mr. Harvey was born in London, England, 22 November 1866, and came to United States in 1888. He became a farmer in Annawan community and continued that occupation until he retired seven years ago, and moved to Kewanee.
On Sep. 22, 1896 he married Emma Batten in Annawan.
Surviving are his wife, a daughter Grace, Mrs. Leonard Moore, Kewanee; two sons: George, Neponset and Edward, Milwaukee; two sisters: Mrs. Sarah Palmer, Kewanee and two brothers living in England ;10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
A son Howard died in 1928. His parents, a brother and a sister also are dead.

Edward Harvey – Funeral services for Edward were held at 3 pm Monday at the Cavanagh and Schueneman funeral Home. Rev. D.O. Cross pastor of Fairview Church officiated. Burial was in Fairview Cemetery
Pallbearers were Harvey, Ronald, Arthur Machesney and Robert Batten. Members of the American Legion Auxiliary attended the services in a group.
