Jesus (Jess) Lucero Sr. 83, of Colton quietly
passed away at home in the loving arms of his
family on Nov. 12, 2011. Jess is survived by
his wife of 61 years Inez, and his six children,
daughters; Margaret Montano (Frank), Lindy Gonzales
(Milt), Amanda Gomez (Rick), and Bernadette Campa (Eric)
. Sons; Jess Jr. (Liz) and Tim (Lynda). 18 Grand and 27
Great-Grandchildren. Jess was born in Sabinal
Chihuahua, Mexico on June 15, 1928. Jess came to Colton
in 1947 where he had many friends. Jess is preceded in
death by his parents, Jose & Dolores Lucero; Sisters
Aurora, Victorina, Josefina. Brothers; Ralph and Tony and
Grandson Roman Gomez Jr. Jess retired from Cal-Mat in
1990 after 35 years as a Truck Driver. He was a member
of the San Bernardino Charro Association in the mid 70's
and a member of Teamsters local #166. Jess enjoyed
spending time at his family business, Casa de Flores in
San Bernardino with his wife and children, and
grandchildren who were there everyday. Jess enjoyed
watching his grandchildren and taking them for walks.
Jess was a loving Husband, Father, Grandfather and
Great-Grandfather and will be deeply missed.
