Adam was the seventh and last child born to John and Margaret Eulberg. He was only 9 when his mother died suddenly and his father died just over a year later. His older sister, Kathryn took over as his parent.

For a while Adam worked for the Railroad and later he worked as a drayman in Granville, Iowa.

On December 13, 1933, Adam married Vivian Weis who had a daughter, Sharon. Adam and Vivian had twin daughters and then a son, Donald. Vivian had a sister who had moved to the State of Washington. In 1939, Adam and his family moved to Washington State as well.

Adam was a dairy farmer for about 10 years and then he went to work for the City of Kirkland doing various road work.

In about 1970, Adam and Vivian divorced.
