Mr. Gene Robert Terral, Sr., age 81 of Dodson, Louisiana passed away on Wednesday, December 28, 2011.
Born Monday, July 28, 1930 in Jonesboro, Louisiana, he was preceded in death by his Father - George Terral, Mother - Maggie Terral, First Wife - Bertha S. Terral, Son - George Terral.
Mr. Terral worked at the Louisiana State Prison, Angola, and as a millwright before settling in Winnfield, where he retired from the Winn Parish Police Jury where he worked as a road grader operator.
Those left to cherish his memory include his Wife - Bonnie Evelyn Terral, 2 Sons - Gene Terral of Goldonna, LA, and Mark Terral of Dodson, LA, 2 Daughters - Jewell Cloud and husband Leroy, and Grace Cox and husband James, both of Dodson, LA. 8 Grandchildren, 21 Great-Grandchildren, and 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Friday, December 30, 2011, at Southern Funeral Home, from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM , and again on Saturday, December 31, 2011, from 8:00 AM until time of services.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, December 31, 2011 at Southern Funeral Home with Rev. Hayward Hossler and Rev. Bill Staples officiating. Interment will follow in Transport Cemetery, in Dodson.
