Jacob Carr 5, (Nathan 4, Robert 3, William 2, George 1) first child of Nathan and Elizabeth (Maxfield) Carrr, was born in Salisbury, Massachusetts, on 11 Dec., 1754. He married Elizabeth (Betsy) Hart, born about 1758. Jacob and Elizabeth settled on his father's homestead in Weare. He served in the Revolutionary War under three separate enlistments. He was with George Washington at Trenton and may also have fought in the battle of Bunker Hill. Several men from NH went to Cambridge and scholars assume that they fought at Bunker Hill. He died at his home in Weare, NH on 17 Dec. 1836.
