Elizabeth "Betsey" Carr married William "Billy" Emerson in Weare, Hillsborough, New Hampshire, son of Daniel Emerson, Jr. and Mary Doyan.
Betsey and Billy Emerson had three children:
1) Mary Emerson, born 30 October 1820 in Weare, Hillsborough, New Hampshire; married Thomas J. Burgess from Wayne, Kennebec Co., Maine in 1840 in Weare, Hillsborough, New Hampshire
2) Elizabeth Emerson, born 04 September 1824 in Weare, Hillsborough, New Hampshire; married Charles Canfield, of Derry, New Hampshire; he was an overseer in a cotton factory at Manchester for thirty years; they had two children both born in Manchester, Hillsborough, New Hampshire.
3) Frances Emerson, born in 1834 (tombstone says 1830) probably in Francestown, Hillsborough, New Hampshire and died in 1919 in Manchester, Hillsborough, New Hampshire, buried in Valley Cemetery, Manchester, Hillsborough, New Hampshire (Plot 840); married John N. Chase (1833-1910), buried in Valley Cemetery; On the 1860 census report from Manchester City, Hillsborough, New Hampshire the family was listed: John N. Chase age 26 (1834 New Hampshire) occupation Machanic; wife, Frances H. age 26 (1834 New Hampshire); and Betsey Emerson age 66 (1794 New Hampshire)
