Robert Eugene Vining, 51, of Garden Grove, a police officer with the Los Angeles Police Department, died Friday. Visitation from 5 to 9 p.m Tuesday at Fairhaven Memorial Mortuary. Service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Waverley Church in Santa Ana. Burial at Riverside National Cemetery.
Survived by his wife, Priscella; sons, Robert Vining, Stephen Plain and Eric Plain; daughters, Debra Whelpley, Valerie Mullins and Kim Vining; brother, Jack; sister, Linda Vining; and 10 grandchildren.
