Bob Mayberry
Bob Mayberry passed away peacefully at West Valley Hospital in Caldwell, on Sept. 21, 2009, at the age of 72 with his family close by his side. Bob was born on Oct. 3, 1936, to Short and Minnie Mayberry in Dora, Missouri. Bob was the youngest of nine children. Bob and his family moved from Missouri to Greenleaf, in 1950. There he met the love of his life, Velda Rowe. Bob and Velda were married in 1954 and settled in Canyon County. This past June they had their 55th wedding anniversary. In Canyon County Bob found his career in farming and became very respected among local farmers. Bob held a huge sense of commitment and pride, his integrity for farming made him very well respected by fellow farmers. While living in Canyon County Bob and Velda raised three children; Trena, Randy and Rick. Bob's greatest joy in life was camping hunting and fishing with all of his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife Velda Mayberry; his children, Trena (Joe) Curt, Randy (Liz) Mayberry, Rick (Doreen) Mayberry; his nine grandchildren; and his three great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, five sisters and one great-grandson.
The family would like to give special thanks to West Valley Medical (Dr. Summers and Dr. Stritzke); Also to St. Alphonsus (Dr. Ryder and Dr. Little). Services will be held Friday Sept. 25, at 11 a.m., at the Caldwell Free Methodist Church, 3320 South Montana Ave., with burial following at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens, Caldwell.
