Ruby Lee Taggart died of natural causes on Saturday, July 15, 2006, at a local care center. Ruby was born on April 24, 1934, in Dora Mo., to Short and Minnie Mayberry, the eighth of nine children. She talked about growing up on the farm and loved those memories, but in 1950, the family decided to move across the country and settled in Canyon County where Ruby continued her education. She married Judson Taggart of Caldwell after an introduction by his son Jeff Taggart who was only six at the time. Together with her daughter Judith Ann, they joined families and added daughters Alicia Kae and Tonitta Lee. Ruby later settled with her daughters in Nampa in 1968. She worked a variety of jobs during the years including King Brown's Floral in Caldwell. In Nampa, she worked at Singers and as a receptionist for Dr. Gerald Bowman. In 1977, she went to work for St. Alphonsus Regional Medical Center where she worked as a technician in the Central Supply and Decontamination Department for over 15 years. She took an early retirement after an untimely illness. For over the past 10 years, Ruby showed a tremendous strength and will to live solely based on the love for her family. She had an amazing will power and though there were many setbacks because of her ill health, she always bounced back to the amazement of everyone. She loved her family including her six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. She would tell anyone she could, about how much she loved them all. Ruby lived and left her life with beauty, grace, and dignity. She went peacefully and is now home with our Lord.

She was preceded in death by both parents, three brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her daughters Judith Trussell (Rick Alderson), Alicia Ehlers (George), and Tonitta Taggart; Her stepson, Jeff Taggart; Six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; One sister Eunice McCool and one brother Bob Mayberry (Velda), her sister-in-law, Doris Mayberry and numerous nieces and nephews.
