Sula Marlar Gray, 68, passed on Friday, January 30, 1987, at a Fort Worth, Texas hospital, due to cancer.

Funeral Service: 11:30 a.m. on Monday, February 2, 1987, at Lucas Funeral Home on Brentwood Stair Road in Fort Worth, Texas, the Rev. Stanley Brown officiating.

Interment: Shannon Rose Hill Memorial Park in Fort Worth, Texas (in the Temple section).

Sula Marlar was born on Friday, June 7, 1918 in Burnsville, Mississippi, to Walter Lee Marlar and Lula Rose Ella Frost Marlar.

She moved to Fort Worth, Texas in 1949 with her husband Jack Gray.

Sula was one of the original employees of, and retired from, the LTV Federal Credit Union (later know as Texas Trust Credit Union).

Her husband Jack Gray worked for Chance Vought and its successor LTV Aerospace, in the same facility as the LTV Federal Credit Union.

She was a member of Handley Baptist Church.

Survivors, all of Fort Worth, Texas, are: her husband Jack Gray Sr.; daughter Dorothy Jane (Jane) Hill; son Jack Gray Jr.; two sisters – Ovaline Audrey Woodruff and Jewel Lee Brown; and four grandchildren – Kim and Kristi Hill and Scott and Jeffrey Gray.

She was predeceased by her parents Walter Lee Marlar and Lula Rose Ella Frost Marlar; her sister Dorothy Pauline Marlar Ayars; and her two brothers – Alvis Abbie Marlar and Luther Woodrow Marlar.
