------------------------
Betty Jane Martin was born on the 9th day of January, 1928 to Sam Finley Walkup and Molly Jane (Cole) Walkup. She passed from this life on Christmas Eve 2011 in Jenks, Oklahoma, where she had lived most of her adult life at the age of 83 years, 11 months & 15 days.
Betty was a stay at home mom who did a wonderful job of caring for her family. She always planned big Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. dinners and gatherings for everyone at her home. She was a firm believer in God and a member for many years of the Free Will Baptist Church in Jenks and later, the Church of Jubilee in Glenpool. She was a kind person to all and will be missed very much by her family and friends. We can console our grief in knowing that she is now in a much better place for eternity.
She will join her mother, father, brother and 4 sisters in Duck Creek Cemetery near her childhood school of Liberty High School.
*
She was the loving mother of three sons and is also survived by three grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, two sisters and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
