Funeral Rites Set for Simon Johnson

Funeral services for Simon Johnson, 52, E10716 Boone, Opportunity, will be at 1 p.m. at Hazen & Jaeger's, the Rev. E.J. Aschenbrenner officiating. Burial will be at the Pines.

Mr. Johnson died Friday evening in a local hospital after suffering a heart attack earlier in the day.

Born at Davenport, he had farmed there, at Albion, and at Mica. For several years he had been employed by Grange Services, Inc.

Surviving are his wife, Leona, at the home; a daughter, Mrs. Eva Burma; two sisters, Mrs. Martha Jensen, Colville, and Mrs. Mary Zeimantz, Spokane, and two grandchildren.

Funeral Tuesday, July 17 at 1 p.m. in the Alwin Chapel at the Hazen and Jaeger Funeral Home, N1306 Monroe Street. Rev. E.J. Aschenbrenner officiating. Dillard C. Runyon Post No. 3067, V.F.W. officiating at the grave. Interment at the Pines, Opportunity.
