LINCOLN COUNTY PIONEER PASSES

Marion J. Johnson, 86, Had Lived Near Davenport for 41 Years.


DAVENPORT, Wash., July 3.—Marion J. Johnson, age 86, a pioneer resident of Lincoln County, died at his home in Davenport last night. He had been in poor health for several years.

Mr. Johnson came to Lincoln County in 1883 and served at the Army at Fort Spokane in this county.

He was born in Pennsylvania and served in the Union Army during the Civil War. After discharge from the Army at Fort Spokane he took up a homestead in the Egypt Country, north of Davenport, where he lived for many years. He was married in 1885 to Miss Eva Reinbold, who survives him.

He is also survived by two sons, Robert, who is now in Indiana, and Simon, of Davenport; and three daughters, Mrs. Jake Zeimantz, Mondovi, Mrs. James Jensen, Bluestem, and Mrs. W.P. Alexander, Peach. Funeral service will be held from the Methodist Church here at 9:30 on Saturday.
