Helen Kathryn "Miss Johnnie" (Carpenter) Warren was born Feb. 10, 1914 in Blair, to Fred and Stella (Teeter) Carpenter and passed away, Dec. 23, 2003 in the Jackson County Memorial Hospital at the age of 89 years.

Warren grew up in the Blair community. She graduated as valedictorian from Midway High School in 1932. She married Clifford Warren on Dec. 22, 1933 in Blair in the local Baptist preacher's house. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Clifford, son Odell Warren, infant daughter, son-in-law Orval Biddy, two great grandchildren, four brothers Jimmy, Charlie, Harry "Bill" and Virgil, two sisters Bertha and Mary Frances.

She is survived by her children, Fay Carroll and husband, James of Colbert, Helen Biddy of Blair, Janice Anderson and husband, Jerry, of Blair, Ralph Warren and wife, Janice of Duke, Avis Winters and husband, Danny of Oklahoma City, Lester Warren and wife, Virginia of Brownfield, Texas, Delbert Warren and wife, Margaret of Lawton, Rodney Warren and wife, Joie of Brownfield, Texas and Dena Timbrook and husband, Lewis of Blair; Services were Saturday, Dec. 27, 2003 at 2 p.m. in the Blair First Baptist Church with Randy Mitchell officiating. Interment will be in the Blair Cemetery
