Doris Allyne (Jordan) Sooter, age 76, passed away Dec. 9, 2011, in Elkhorn, Wis.
She is survived by one son, Dennis Sooter; two grandchildren, Scott and Allison Sooter; one great-grandchild, Wesley Sooter; one sister, Pauline Tilley, of Neosho, Mo.; one aunt, Gladys Barrington of Modesto, Calif.; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Emery (sic) [Emrie] and Jenny (sic) [Jennie] Jordan; her daughter Cheryl Sooter; three sisters; and four brothers.
Doris was raised and attended school in Golden City, Mo.
She married Donald Sooter and they lived in several states throughout the years.
When they divorced, she returned to Joplin, Mo., where she met Harold Sewell and they were together until his death in 2002.
She remained in Joplin until her health failed and she moved to Wisconsin to be near her son.
Final disposition was cremation.
Memorial and burial will be at a later date in Webb City, Mo.
