SAGER
At the homestead, some three miles south of LaRue, Oct, 20, 1895, James D. Sager, aged 26 years, 8 months and 12 days. He was a son of B. F. Sager and Mrs. Sarah Sager. After receiving a common school education he attended the Normal university at Ada, Ohio, graduating at the close of a three year course. He then attended the Phrenological Institute, New York City, graduating from that institution. He was a very successful school teacher and spent four years of his life in the school room as an instructor of the young. March 13, 1895 he was united in happy marriage to Miss Ida B. Jones. For several months he had been in failing health. Despite medical skill and nursing he slowly declined. He became a member of the Presbyterian while a student at Ada, and ever since endeavored to lead a consistant Christian life.
